The Sprint Backlog is the set of Product Backlog items selected for the Sprint, plus a plan for delivering the product Increment and achieving the Sprint Goal.

Characteristics

• Owned by the Development Team
• Updated daily to reflect progress and changes
• Includes detailed tasks and work breakdowns

Purpose

• Provides focus and clarity for the Sprint work
• Helps the team track progress towards the Sprint Goal
• Facilitates transparency and communication

Management

• The Development Team manages and adapts the Sprint Backlog throughout the Sprint
• Tasks may be added, removed, or re-prioritized as needed

Importance

• Keeps the team aligned and organized
• Supports self-organization and accountability
